How The Training Works
Guided from day one to assessment. What to expect across the six days.
The course is delivered across three practical weekends, with each block building on the last. The structure is designed to help students move beyond learning exercises and into developing the judgement, confidence, and teaching presence needed in a real studio setting.
Studio time is practical, applied, and built around teaching development. Across the six days, students spend time on the Reformer, work through key movement concepts, practise teaching, and receive ongoing feedback as their confidence and skill develop.
Rather than relying on lecture-heavy delivery, the training is designed around doing, observing, reflecting, and refining. Students begin teaching early in the process and continue developing throughout, with each weekend building on what came before.
By the end of the six days, students will have built not only a stronger understanding of the method, but greater confidence in how to teach it clearly, adapt it well, and deliver it with presence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking.
Yes. This academy is designed for already qualified movement professionals who want to add Reformer Pilates to their repertoire.
It is best suited to those with a Level 3 qualification in Personal Training or Mat Pilates. Applicants from yoga or other movement backgrounds may also be eligible, depending on the depth of their anatomy education and overall training.
Prior Reformer class experience is strongly advised. As part of the academy, you will also be required to complete a set number of Reformer participation hours alongside your training, helping you build your own movement foundation as you develop your teaching skills.
If you are unsure whether your qualifications are suitable, please get in touch before booking and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
This training is designed for movement professionals who want to take their teaching further, not simply add another qualification to their CV.
It suits those who are ready to engage properly with the process: the pre-learning, the practical weekends, the self-practice, and the teaching development that happens between sessions.
You do not need to be the most experienced person in the room. You do need to be open to feedback, willing to practise, and interested in understanding what makes teaching work.
If you are looking for a quick add-on with minimal commitment, this is unlikely to be the right fit. If you are looking for training that will strengthen the quality of your teaching and help you grow into a more capable instructor, it is.
Yes. On successful completion of the academy, you will receive your Reformer Pilates Instructor certificate and will be ready to start teaching. If you are unsure whether your existing qualifications are suitable for insurance purposes, we recommend getting in touch before booking so we can discuss your background.
There are two stages of assessment: a multiple choice quiz completed after the pre-learning and before Weekend 1, and a final practical assessment where you teach a full class. You have up to 6 months to complete the practical assessment by submitting a filmed class.
