Meet The Founder

Diana Coffey

Founder, Educator & Reformer Teacher Trainer

Diana’s background in movement began long before Pilates. Originally a contemporary dancer, she later qualified as a personal trainer before finding Pilates through her own experience of managing injuries after years of dance training. That journey shaped the way she teaches today, with a strong focus on movement quality, clear coaching, and understanding how to work with different bodies in a way that feels both effective and adaptable.

Much of Diana’s career and education was shaped in Australia, which had a strong influence on her teaching perspective. Working in a more contemporary studio environment reinforced her belief that Pilates can be grounded and precise while still feeling dynamic, connected, and engaging to teach and to take. Her teaching is rooted in strong movement principles, but always with an emphasis on flow, presence, and the ability to respond to the people in front of you.

With over 15 years of teaching experience across movement and fitness, Diana has taught and mentored across a wide range of settings, and has delivered numerous teacher training academies across Australia, the UK, and Ireland. She also held the role of Master Trainer and Head of Academy and Movement for one of the world’s fastest growing Pilates brands, where she educated and up-skilled fitness professionals while helping shape teaching standards and programme delivery.

Her client experience has spanned everyone from Olympians and senior business leaders to clients with highly complex presentations, including neurological conditions, post-surgical recovery, and long-term injuries, often in collaboration with physiotherapists. This breadth of experience has shaped her ability to coach with both precision and perspective, and to adapt movement for a wide variety of people without losing quality.

She created this training because she saw a clear gap in the market. Many studio clients are looking for more connection in class, more intelligent programming, and a more personalised experience, yet teacher training does not always prepare instructors for the realities of teaching a mixed room. This academy was built to help bridge that gap: developing instructors who can teach with confidence, adapt class plans to the bodies in front of them, and create classes that feel both challenging and well taught.

Students can expect a dynamic and interactive learning experience, with plenty of time to practise, teach, receive feedback, and build real confidence in the studio. Diana’s teaching style is down to earth, supportive, and clear, with a strong emphasis on presence, adaptability, and helping instructors develop into teachers who can lead a room with both quality and personality.

Since becoming a mother in 2023, her perspective on movement and the realities of the body has deepened even further. At the heart of this training is her commitment to developing thoughtful, capable instructors who are ready to teach in a way that feels relevant, adaptable, and grounded in real studio practice.
